Conference Theme: “DEALing with Assessment in Special Education”
Objectives
- Analyze assessment information within a strengths-based, person-centered framework to support high expectations, meaningful educational decisions, and future opportunities for students with disabilities.
- Explore culturally responsive assessment practices by identifying methods and approaches that recognize and respect the varied backgrounds of students.
- Discuss the use of assessment data in identifying learners’ instructional needs, selecting or adjusting evidence-based supports, and monitoring progress to make timely, equitable data-based decisions for students with exceptionalities.
