The DEAL (Division of Evaluation and Assessment for Learning) Virtual Conference on Friday, December 5th from 10am to 2:30pm Central Standard Time. Speakers are Albery Hogan, Andrea Ogonosky, Mertie "Mi Mi" Gomez, and Francisco "Paco" Usero-Gonzalez.

Conference Theme: “Bridging Assessment Practices in Special Education”

Objectives

  • Examine current legal and ethical frameworks governing assessment practices in special education, with a focus on compliance and professional responsibility.
  • Promote responsive assessment practices by identifying methods and approaches that recognize and respect the varied backgrounds of students.
  • Foster professional collaboration and knowledge sharing among educators, administrators, and specialists to advance best practices in legal, technological, and culturally responsive assessment
  • Explore innovative uses of technology in assessment, highlighting tools and strategies that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility for diverse learners.
